About us My name is Berit, I live together with my husband Håvar in a town called Harstad. Harstad is up north in Norway, 1 ½ hours flight north of Oslo. Our children are grown ups, so now it’s just us and the cats at home. We got our first Maine Coon in 2000, and our cattery name (N) Yowie’s, I got in 2002. Because of my health I have taken the difficult choise to reduce our MCO-gang and our MCO-breeding programme. We now have our first oriental girl at home (2010), and will consentrate our breeding mostly on siamese and oriental cats with white. We enjoy living with our cats, and in our house they live like familymembers, where we are- they could also be ;-)) To see kittens born, follow their development from day to day, is one of the most wonderful things I do . Kittens from us are healthy, curious and have a lot of self-confidence ;-)) Our breeding males, lives in “fosterhomes” and got their own nice families to live with, so they can be part of a real family and not get stressed by the girls. We are very happy to have two such nice homes for our boys. Our main goal is to breed good tempered, happy, well-socialized, breed spesific and healthy Maine Coon and Oriental cats!!
